The Sailor King of Pen maki-e Limited Edition “GOLDED COSMOS ” The Pen features a Pro Gear makie-e Body with a 21k Medium Nib.  This Pen is steeped in deep tradition which refects the maki-e work. The maki-e, is laid out top to bottom in a white golden wave which representing past and future. The Silver or WHITE Gold sparkling broad stripes in the crossing across the middle path of the stones is dedicated to the famous Japanese festival named Tanabata, which is a festival of love and happiness. Tanabata; it’s a festival of stars, which means the evening of the 7th. It has been said that the two Lovers Cowherd star (Altair) and Weaver star (Vegar) had been separated by the Milky Way River and during the Tanabata, these two stars meet. The maki-e design on this pen also has the silver/ golden path which is spiral, resembling the Milky Way River separating the stars. This makes the eternal lovers’ bond stronger and forever. You can witness the beauty of the meeting of the stars. The main connection of this design to Tanabata festival is that, during this festival, many people wish for better handwriting by writing wishes on strips of paper and tying these strips on a pole in the backyard or front of the house.
